Situation // Task
The Charleston Chamber is an award-winning organization that won the best Chamber nationwide in 2018. They have many outstanding programs for their members, as well as for the entire Metro Charleston community. The Situation? Hardly anyone knew about their successful talent development initiatives, such as their career academies and youth apprenticeship opportunities. These programs help high school students graduate with real-life, industry experience, and even job placements.
ACTION
The Chamber got a peek at the Motion Filmworks' recruitment video for the Maritime Association of SC. The Chamber leaders loved the way we told authentic stories of the mechanics, truck drivers, and freight forwarders in the maritime and logistics industries. They also flipped out over the dynamic filming and editing we achieved for that video. The CEO of the Chamber then hired us to produce a video which showcases and humanizes the success stories of high school students in their programs.
As Motion Filmworks does for all our brand story videos, we first identified the key "characters" as the story's voices. In addition to shining a spotlight on the motivated young people within the curriculum, we also captured stunning drone footage around the city of Charleston. The two-minute and forty five-second video also highlighted interviews with such dynamic business leaders as Anita Zucker, the CEO of the $3.4B firm, InterTech Group.

The Charleston Chamber was blown away by the video we produced for them. They are using it to empower high-school students to discover some of the fantastic career opportunities within the tri-county area. As a bonus, the Chamber is leveraging its brand story video as a tool to raise money to support the future growth of its talent development initiatives.
