THE OPPORTUNITY
The International Longshoremen's Association (ILA) is a labor union representing longshore workers. Our concept was to produce a film that empowers women in the workplace and influences the union culture in an effort to promote inclusion.
THE SOLUTION
To create a concept film that tells the story of a little girl growing up in a "man's world," where she frequently hears phrases like, "Girls can't do that."
We crafted a narrative through character development and creative storytelling. Our mission was to emphasize equality and equality. The storyline was to showcase female crane operators making history in the ILA Union.
In the end, this film empowered women in the union at their annual convention in Miami and was strategic in influencing the ILA union's culture to promote inclusion.

Through interviews and b-roll, we followed these three women along their journey as crane operators, the highest paid position at the Port. Each character disuccsed their determination, struggles and the motivation to accomplish 2,000 hours of hands-on experience prior to entering this program.
This film was debued at their 2022 annual convention for the ILA South Atlantic and Gulf Coast in Coronado, CA. This films represented equality for all and to give women in the union a voice.
