MBDA’S CHALLENGE

Most consumers have no idea what goes on behind the scenes to get their favorite beer or glass of wine from the producer to the bar or retail shelf. Beverage distributors in Maine needed a way to quickly educate people about what they do and why they are important. The Maine Beverage Distributors Association was ready to invest in a tool that would quickly and effectively tell its story and demonstrate the importance of the Three-Tier System.

OUR VIDEO SOLUTION

Over the course of 4 days, our crew started filming in Bangor, ME, and traveled south to cover the entire state. Our production highlighted the operations at four key beverage distributors. In the distributor's warehouses, we conducted authentic interviews with the owners and a few long-time associates. In addition, we took the opportunity to capture the retail perspective at a local grocery store, convenience store, and the most historic restaurant in Portland, DiMillo’s on the Water.

Our film follows the life cycle of the product, highlights the important jobs in this industry, and exemplifies the positive impact Maine’s beer and wine distributors have in their communities and on the state's economy.
